Teacher Description:
The Teacher is responsible for planning, and implementing the curriculum for the child development program. Teaching, planning, record keeping, nurturing children and promoting parent participation are among the major responsibilities of this position.

Assistant Teacher Description:
Reporting to the Center Director or classroom Teacher, the Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Teacher in the implementation of the daily classroom schedule. Supervising and guiding children, preparation of supplies, handling issues and planning jointly with the teacher are among the major responsibilities of this position. Additionally, the Assistant Teacher and the Teacher are responsible for the active supervision and safety for all children in their classroom. In the absence of the Teacher the Assistant Teacher may temporarily assume the duties of the Teacher. Also, the Assistant Teacher will interact with parents to encourage classroom participation with their child and promote a positive learning experience.

Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Teacher Description:
Reporting to the Early Head Start Site Manager, the Infant/Toddler Teacher primary function is as caregiver to assigned children six weeks through three
years of age. Promote each child’s growth and development by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences, create an environment in which children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age appropriate self-help skills
are among the major responsibilities of the position.
