Full Time Equivalent: 

40 hours per week/52 weeks per year 

Salary: 

$22.18 per hour 

Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Director of Monitoring Compliance, the Monitoring and Compliance Specialist provides monitoring, oversight, and performance improvement tools to ensure that all centers are fully compliant with Head Start Performance Standards, State licensing regulations and CAPC's program goals.   

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Business Administration or another business-related field.   A minimum of two (2) years of experience in nonprofit or government work preferred.  Knowledge of regulations and standards as it relates to Head Start and the Department of Children and Families. 

Other QualificationsAbility to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.  Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Demonstrated computer literacy skills, using MS Office applications and other basic data systems including internet navigation.  Must compete the DCF 45-hour training within 6 months of employment. 

Physical Demands: This position requires the employee to work in an office setting; however, some observations may be done outside. This position will travel to other center locations.  The employee must be able to lift 10 lbs.   Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. 

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Applicants must have a current Florida Driver's license, reliable transportation, satisfactory criminal records check for abuse and neglect, and state required minimum vehicle insurance and uninsured motorist insurance.  Must meet all requirements of the Department of Children and Families.
