Full Time:                                                                   40hours/52 weeks 

Pay rate:                                                                     $15.35 per hour 

Summary: Reporting to the Transportation Manager the Program Support Worker is responsible for assisting in the Head Start/ Early Head Start Center as assigned by their supervisor.  The Program Support Worker may assist in numerous areas as needed to maintain center efficiency and effectiveness.   The Program Support Worker may be assigned, but not limited to, transporting children to dental and speech appointments, field trips, assisting in the classrooms, assisting with supply pick up, stocking distribution, assisting with meal distribution, center greeter, and center cleanliness. The Program Support worker is also responsible for ensuring bus and child safety. 

 Education and /or Experience: High School Diploma or GED.   

A CDL license, Class B or above with airbrake and school bus and passenger endorsement are required.  Must provide the Agency with proof of a clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical.

 Other Requirements:  Applicants must have a current Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and must meet all Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Office of Head Start (OHS) requirements for employment. 

Additionally, applicants must be knowledgeable and proficient in using MS Office applications. 

Physical Demands:  This position requires the employee to sit, stand, bend and stoop and actively working.  Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
