Escambia County
Head Start has a
"Theme Based
Curriculum" that
offers a variety
of hands-on
learning
experiences
where children
can, experiment,
explore, and
learn. All
school readiness
skills are
addressed
including
reading and
writing
readiness, math
readiness, and
social skills.
Once a child's
individual needs
have been
identified, the
curriculum is
tailored to meet
those needs and
progress to the
next development
level.
Our goal is to
help children
become
independent,
self-confident,
inquisitive
learners who
will succeed not
only in school,
but in life.
