CAPC and/or Head Start/Early Head Start has the following job opening.

 

Network Administrator I:

40 hours per week / 52 weeks Grade 10

SALARY: $16.29 – $18.33
Reports to: Finance Department
Overview: The Network Administrator I position is an entry level position that is responsible for all software used on the Agency’s network, installs operating systems and updates them as needed to keep the systems functioning efficiently. Additionally the Network Administrator I will install end-user software, such as Microsoft Office 365, and Agency specific software such as Child Plus, CM Tools, GMS, Agency Time Management System, and other software programs as needed. The Network Administrator identifies network security concerns, maintains a detailed inventory of all Agency IT equipment, documents the existence of proper licenses for all software, and recommends programs and upgrades for new technology.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of four years of verifiable hands-on experience or the completion of two years of college-level coursework (A.S.) in computer science, information technology or a related field is required.
Certifications: CompTIA A+ (PC Hardware and Operating System) and CompTIA Network+ (Network (OSI Model, TCP/IP) are required.

Admissions Assistant:

35 hours per week / 51 weeks Grade 6

SALARY: $11.71 – $13.24
Reports to: Head Start Admissions Office
Overview: The Admissions Assistant reports to the Admissions Coordinator and is responsible for the entry of applications, verifying income and receipt of all required documents needed for acceptance. Entry of applications, dental and health services, answering phone inquiries, assisting with recruitment and assisting in the front office are among the major job duties of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: A High School diploma or GED. A minimum of two years working in an office setting with computer work being the major duty of the position. Computer literate in word processing software, database management system, excel, e-mail and internet. Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute accurately.

Lead Teacher II:

37.5 hrs. per week/ 41 weeks Grade 8

SALARY: $12.45
OVERVIEW: The Lead Teacher II is responsible for the effective operation of the Head Start Center with a single classroom. Teaching, planning, training, guidance and supervision are among the major responsibilities of this position. The Lead Teacher II also works with and provides assistance to Content Area Specialists on special assignments related to the Head Start Program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with classes equivalent to a minor in Early Childhood Education. A Director’s Credential is essential for this position. DCF 40 hours coursework, at least one year experience working with children 3 to 5 years old and supervisory experience is needed.

COOK:

7 hrs. per day / 35 hrs. per week. / 40 weeks Grade 2

SALARY: $9.68 per hour
OVERVIEW: The Cook is responsible for the assistance of preparation and delivery of meals to Head Start centers. Preparation of food, maintaining sanitation, storing of food and delivery of meals to classrooms are among the major responsibilities of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a High School diploma. Two years experience in kitchen prep. Must have the ability to calculate figures and determine percentages. This position requires the employee to be in a standing position for the majority of the work hours. The employee must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have valid driver's license and excellent driving record.

INFANT/TODDLER TEACHER:

40 hrs. per week / 52 weeks Grade 9

SALARY: $10.84 - $12.43 per hour
OVERVIEW: Infant/Toddler Teacher II primary function is as caregiver to assigned children six weeks through three years of age. Promote each child’s growth and development by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences, create an environment in which children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age appropriate self-help skills are among the major responsibilities of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization working with infants and toddlers. DCF 40 hour Child Care Certificate required and Infant/Toddler CDA preferred. Experience working with children birth to three years old.

Family Advocate III:

Salary: $15.53
OVERVIEW: Responsible for ensuring parents and family members receive all services designated in the Family Services Community Partnership Performance Standards. Minimum of two years of office work with computer related responsibilities. Experience working with low income children and their families in a pre-school setting.POSITION:
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in social work or closely related field (Psychology, Sociology) and experience providing case management with low income families. Bilingual a plus.

TEACHER II ( Pre-school)
SALARY RANGE: $10.84 - $12.43 per hour / 37.5 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood education, supervisory experience, DCF 40 Hour Child Care Certificate required, experience working with children 3 to 5 yrs. old.
DUTIES: The Teacher II is responsible for planning, and implementing the curriculum for the child development program. Teaching, planning, record keeping, nurturing children and promoting parent participation are among the major responsibilities of this position.
