CAPC and/or Head Start/Early Head Start has the following job opening.

 

POSITION: BOARD AND COMPLIANCE LIAISON
SALARY: $18.34 (Part time position not to exceed 30 hours per week)
CORE DUTIES: The Board and Compliance Liaison is responsible for coordinating information and communications between the Board of Directors and staff of CAPC as directed by the Executive Director. The Board and Compliance Liaison prepares information for the Board of Directors meetings, updates Agency policies and procedures, and ensures CAPC compliance with policies and regulations of oversight authorities. Additionally, the Board and Compliance Liaison provides administrative support for the Executive Director and for the Board of Directors activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Business related field preferred or equivalent years of working knowledge in a related field. Knowledge of employment laws and standards and Head Start policies is preferred. Must have good computer skills and proficient using MS software products, be a self-starter and have the ability to start projects and carry them through. Must be able to work independently and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to communicate with various levels of staff professions within and external to the Agency; including Board Members, community stakeholders, partners, and individuals.

 

POSITION: COMPTROLLER
SALARY RANGE: $22.00 - $26.25 (exempt)
CORE DUTIES: The Comptroller position is responsible for spear-heading the agency’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. The Comptroller will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management. In direct support to the Chief Financial Officer, the position will be involved in supporting presentation to the Board, Finance, and Audit committees and will work closely with the senior leadership team. The Comptroller will ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. A minimum of 5+ years experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and Account Management and Over Sight required. Prefer experience in internal auditing or government accounting. Must be highly organized, adept with various computer applications, and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

POSITION: Teacher II
SALARY: $10.64 - $12.20 Per Hour
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, DCF required Director’s Credential and 40 Hour Child Care Classes.
